Pre-Lease Considerations

This session sets out the practical steps to take to ensure that dilapidations is considered at pre-lease or investment purchase so that you have the fullest possible picture of the financial responsibilities assumed. Covering: pitfalls to avoid in the contractual leasing arrangements; understanding when and how dilapidations assessments and schedules of condition can be helpful; and how to take into account any pre-lease ESG considerations.

This detailed 3-½ hour online series provides dilapidations management guidance for landlords, tenants and advising professionals who deal with acquisitions, management, and disposals of leasehold property – including the often-adversarial negotiations at the end of a lease.

Colin joined the fire service in 1974 and developed an interest in fire safety legislation, with the Fire Precautions Act 1971. He pursued this, attending all the relevant training at Morton in the Marsh Fire Service Training College, and in 1987 he gained an interest also in computers and programming. He developed his skills, combined with his knowledge of fire safety legislation, and started to explore how the new technology could help risk owners.
