Rima is the R&D Lead for AECOM’s Fiscal Incentives team and has been with the company since 2016. With over seven years’ of experience, she has worked in both industry and consultancy practices, and has prepared R&D tax credit claims for clients across various sectors including construction, information technology, transport, environment and engineering.

This series is about navigating the complex world of property taxation to make use of statutory allowances as they are intended to be used and undertaking transactions in ways that can help to identify available reliefs, complying with the legislation and current guidance.

The tax world is complex – careful planning can avoid paying more tax than necessary with consequential increases in bottom line profits and investment values.   

Hilton has worked on a number of hotel transactions over the last 14 months. Prior to joining OakNorth, Hilton spent almost two years at HSBC as a Relationships Director within Real Estate Hotel Finance. Before HSBC, he spent almost 11 years working at Santander focusing initially on commercial real estate finance and later as the Head of Hotel Finance within the bank’s corporate division. 
 

Nick is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor who has been advising on investment and operational real estate for 30 years, originally providing valuations of commercial investments throughout western Europe to UK pension funds, private equity investors and banks. Having run his own investment agency business for several years, Nick joined Christie & Co in 2017.
