Francisca's practice focuses primarily on advising funds, family offices and financial institutions on real estate investment and development financing and debt restructurings. She has broad experience advising on syndicated and bilateral facilities, senior/mezzanine structures and debt trades across a range of real estate asset classes in domestic and cross-border financings.

 

Over his career in the healthcare market, spanning more than 25 years, Colin has worked with a multitude of institutional, corporate and private investors, primarily in the UK but in Europe also.

Johan has been working in structured finance for over 20 years and has held several management positions at Deutsche Bank and UBS. Johan holds an MBA of the University of Chicago, which he attended as a Fulbright scholar, and an engineering degree of the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. In 2009 Risk Structured Products recognized Johan with an award as one of the ten global pioneers in the development of the structured products market.

Working within the research team at BNP Paribas Real Estate, Rebecca covers operational residential markets including healthcare, senior living, build-to-rent, and student housing, supporting the Alternative Markets teams with market analytics. She is a member of the Society of Property Researchers.

The care home market is underpinned by strong demographic projections. It is widely considered an attractive sector for investors and a safe haven over the long term - it can provide long-dated, index-linked income.

Even in the face of the pandemic it has fared relatively well. However, like most sectors, it now faces challenges. Headwinds include: staff recruitment/retention, energy costs, increasing building costs and adverse movement in yields.

Craig has been a Partner in Knight Frank Capital Advisory for the past 3 years, providing debt advisory services to clients ranging from UHNWIs and family offices to corporate and institutional clients. Craig covers development and investment finance across all real estate sectors in the UK and continental Europe. Craig’s background is in banking and finance, having spent over 17 years originating and structuring development and investment finance in the UK social housing, student accommodation and commercial real estate markets for Barclays Bank, Metro Bank and OakNorth Bank.

Dan is Head of Hotel & Real Estate Finance at Virgin Money (formerly Clydesdale Bank), playing a key part in creating and evolving a now well established alternative lender in the sector. The team provide specialist financial solutions to support a variety of hotel and real estate investment and development businesses. 

Omega joined LendInvest in September 2021 to head the Capital Raising team and became Head of Funds Management in October 2022. She has over 19 years of professional experience in real estate as a corporate finance advisor, debt advisor, financier and lawyer. She originally trained as a corporate tax lawyer, however following her MBA at INSEAD held non-legal roles at a property developer, a German bank and provided restructuring advice to unlisted real estate funds as a Director in the Corporate Finance team at CBRE.

Carina is a planning lawyer based in London. She acts for a range of clients including private developers, institutional investors, local authorities, charities, retailers, utility companies and student accommodation providers.
