Bob Silk has been with Barclays for just over 44 years, having joined the Bank as an office junior in September 1979.

He earned his first appointment as a relationship manager October 1989, and was generalist corporate banker until early 1993 when he specialised in corporate turnarounds for five years.

Mark joined Landsec in 2015 and has over 20 years’ experience working across multiple industries, including Retail with Sainsbury’s, Media with WPP and Sport with the London Organising Committee for the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

Huw spent his corporate career in HSBC where he undertook a wide range of roles. During the last 17 years of his time there he established and ran a specialist UK hotel lending team which developed into one of the largest and most active in the sector.

Since leaving HSBC in 2020 Huw has advised a number of hotel owners on their debt negotiations. He also acted as a director of the company that owns the Stafford Hotel London and Northcote Hotel.

Philip Lassman leads the Development Team in Northern Europe (UK/I, BeNeLux and Nordics) for Accor Premium, Midscale and Economy brands. In this the region Accor has over 400 hotels across all core markets. Since joining Accor in September 2017, Philip has overseen over 100 new openings which equates to over 14,000 new rooms joining the group as well as additions to over 40 brands. The growth of the brand portfolio in recent years demonstrates Accor’s agility and a dynamic development team.

Peter Seymour is a Chartered Surveyor with over 16 years’ experience in the Hotel and Leisure sector. He merged his independent practice with Graham + Sibbald in 2017. Peter has been involved with disposals and acquisitions of going concerns and closed premises (heritable and leasehold), valuations, and rent reviews. Notable clients include The Kitchin Group, Punch Taverns, Hawthorn Leisure, Signature Pub Group; Star Pubs + Bars, French Duncan, The Edinburgh Collection, Oyo and Inspired Hotels as well as many independent Hoteliers.

Kate was appointed CEO of UKHospitality, the powerful voice representing the broad hospitality sector, in April 2018, having previously worked as CEO and Strategic Affairs Director of the ALMR.
