Megan is a senior member of the Digital Strategy team at Glasgow based award-winning agency, Equator. She recently joined from Edrington where she looked after their global DAM and PIM systems, helping to optimise content and streamline ways of working for their marketing teams all over the world.

With experience in many areas of digital, Megan is excited to join us this year to help guide the conversations of Digital Transformation, particularly when it comes to media management.

Since the very first DAM systems, and for 30 years since then, search success for visual objects has been tied directly to the quality and completeness of associated textual metadata. 

The question: does searching based on metadata (which may or may not be present or complete), even with auto-tagging, yield the results you need to get full value from your DAM?

Peter Leabo joined MerlinOne in 1992 as director of sales and marketing. He left in 2001 for a 17-year career at IBM in a variety of digital media technology related sales roles before returning to MerlinOne in 2018 as Director of Sales. Peter has a degree in journalism from Texas A&M. He worked for the Associated Press as a photographer and photo editor for 15 years covering news and sporting events around the world such as Olympics, Super Bowls, Pope trips, earthquakes, conflicts in Latin America, etc.  Peter is based in Kansas City, MO, and is still an avid photographer.

David Tenenbaum founded MerlinOne in 1988, and has been CEO ever since. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and after graduation was an Associated Press photographer for 15 years. He covered events including Space Shuttle launches and landings, Pope trips, Presidential campaigns and trips, Super Bowls, Olympics and conflicts in Central America, and was runner-up in the Pulitzer competition for Spot News Photography. For the last 4 years he has been focused on beneficial applications of AI to imaging.
