Bilal Elreda is a SVP, Technology Director at Deutsch LA where he leads teams through the technical discovery, design, and delivery phases of digital platforms for the agency’s roster of clients. He brings over 12 years of experience in the digital space, working on all facets of the software design and delivery process. Prior to joining Deutsch LA, Elreda was a Solutions Architect at Dustland, a digital design and development agency where he was responsible for creating technical solutions for brands including Subaru, Ford, and Visa.

It's fine to know what something is, and even to apply what we consider to be the right name to it.  But if we ignore the context in which our customers, internal and external, wish to use our media assets, then the taxonomy we apply could be meaningless. 

In this session we will revisit the discussion on taxonomy and folksonomy from our last webinar and dive deeper into how to go about developing your own understanding of context that will add another layer of value and functionality to your media assets.

 

Finally seeing the big picture in license management    It is essential, when using assets such as images, videos, and other protected files, to keep track of licenses and image rights. This is obvious.  However, with the rapidly increasing number of assets, comprehensive campaigns and many output channels, keeping track is becoming increasingly challenging. Plus, active license management must not slow down the creative workflow.

Colombian-American futurist, Martha Diaz, is an award-winning community organiser, media producer, archivist, curator, educator, and social entrepreneur. One of Women’s eNews distinguished 21 Leaders for the 21st Century, she has traversed the Hip Hop entertainment industry, the public arts and education sector, and the academy over the last 30 years. Her passion is advancing human rights and transforming communities through Hip Hop culture, media, and technology.

Rupert initially trained as an art historian, specialising in the Italian Renaissance, before moving into museum documentation, dabbling in humanities computing and digitisation along the way. Having managed the Ashmolean Museum’s documentation for three years, and the Horniman Museum and Gardens for six years, he has been Collection Information Manager at the National Gallery in London since 2016.
