Preparing and Managing a DAM Migration - Course Summary

Session 1: Scoping and Preparing for a DAM Migration

In this session, learn how to define and scope the migration effort for a DAM implementation. This includes approaches for defining the migration strategy, scoping opportunities for improvement vs. “lift and shift”, auditing content and metadata, and requirements gathering.

Session 2: DAM Metadata, Taxonomy and Migration

Preparing and Managing a DAM Migration, with David Iscove and Stephanie Lemieux

As organizations evolve in their approach to Digital Asset Management, a new technology implementation often becomes appropriate to introduce more advanced capabilities and remove any dependencies associated with old ways of working. A migration of existing and legacy assets is usually required to ensure availability of critical content. A migration is also a great opportunity to improve findability and streamline content operations, building on lessons learned in the existing DAM.
