Yulia Shmeleva is a senior software engineer with over 15 years of experience at companies including Oracle, Intuit, MasterClass, and currently Netflix. Her career has centered on one throughline: making complex technical systems simple enough for non-technical users to confidently own — a focus that led her to patent UX approaches for defining geospatial rules at Oracle. Today at Netflix, she brings that same lens to PDM (Primary Data Management), Netflix's hosted service for taxonomy and reference data management, shaping the full user journey — from onboarding a new data model to managing data within it day to day.
