Sam took his family’s legacy film and video-tape archive, with records and logs spread across books, binders, and a DOS database and completely brought it into the 21st century. He and his team digitized what they could in-house and sent out to trusted partners what they needed to. Through implementing brand new systems and teaching themselves about managing websites and doing business over the internet, they are continuing to build on nearly thirty-five years of success in media archiving and IP rights management as they continue to evolve and grow into the digital worlds of today and tomorrow.
Sam has been living and working around media archives for virtually his entire life. As a third-generation small business owner in the entertainment and media industry, it’s literally in his DNA. His life has been shaped like everyone's has by the media and the technology that he has interacted with, learned with, and created with. This has led to something that has become more than just a passion or even a career – it has become a lifelong mission. Working with digital technology allows us all to create more easily than ever before. All of this creativity has led to an exponential proliferation of data and information that has to be organized and assessed so that it can be accessed by everyone, everywhere. All of this has led Sam to DAM.
