Events Event Speaker Matt Zimmerman

Matt is the Senior Systems Manager for the National Geographic Society’s Special Collections team. He currently oversees the department’s technology ecosystem, including platforms for managing digital assets, archival collections, and library services. Matt joined the Society in 2019 as a librarian focused on metadata, discovery, and systems. With over 20 years of experience in technology management, he applies technical solutions to integrate the Society’s diverse systems, enhancing the discovery and preservation of its unique history. He holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the Catholic University of America.
