Events Event Speaker Carol Damm

As Head of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Constructor University in Bremen, Carol Damm leads a talented, international team that offers workshops and advises faculty on student-centered teaching and learning, including training in the use of edtech and GenAI. She has over 15 years of learning design experience in both industry and higher education, supervising learning design teams at multiple universities from the U.S. to Germany. Carol has taught instructional design at Boston College, Brandeis University, and University of Massachusetts, Boston, and now at Constructor U. She particularly enjoys leading design thinking workshops for her peers interested in learning new skills that focus on human-centered design. As hype has finally met up with reality for AI in education and immersive experiences with VR, Carol is excited to be involved in their latest evolutions by probing their limitations and affordances from the perspective of embodied cognition and transformative learning.
