Bill Levay is the Digital Archivist at the New York Philharmonic, where he manages the Shelby White & Leon Levy Digital Archives (archives.nyphil.org) and also serves as the organization's Digital Asset Manager. He holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the Pratt Institute School of Information, where he teaches as an adjunct professor, and a Master of Arts in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University. In addition to his work at the Philharmonic, Bill runs Levay Information Services LLC, a consultancy focused on supporting nonprofits and small businesses with website development, digital archives, metadata strategy, and information management. He also compiled the award-winning discography for Michael Bloomfield: The Rise and Fall of an American Guitar Hero. Originally from Staten Island, he now lives in New Jersey with his wife and son.
