Johnny is an art school dropout turned self-taught engineer and program manager from the cold north of Denmark. He has spent most of his career in global digital agencies, working in both permanent and freelance roles with clients around the world. Over the years, he lived in Stockholm and San Francisco before settling in London, where he has been based with his wife and two cats for the past decade.
His official transition into DesignOps began in 2021 when he established the discipline at Skyscanner. For the past three years, he has worked at the global fintech company Wise (formerly TransferWise), where he has built and led multiple operational disciplines. Currently, he is focused on further maturing and scaling cross-functional operational excellence, continuing to drive impact in the evolving Design & Research operations landscape.
